Some days are harder than others but it's so worth it. If you are interested in doing 80 Day Obsession message me birdy_marie@yahoo.com and mention workout or 80 Day Obsession in the Topic bar and I'll get back to you asap.
Thank you for following me on my journey I'll post again in 4 weeks if not sooner. Take care.

Weight loss Journey beginning

I started working out March 5th 2018.  So far in my transformation I've noticed that it has helped a lot with my depression and anxiety.  I was someone who doubted working out would help with depression and anxiety so when professionals told me to work out for my depression I just shrugged them off.  Well it works.
I didn't start working out to boost my mood I started working out to lose weight.   So far people have noticed weight loss in my face and toning up in my body.
A few things helping me in this journey is accountability. I'm in a virtual accountability group and people are very motivating.   I just became a life style coach and I get to be accountable as a coach. I also am accountable to those watching my journey on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and my blog as well.
If you are looking to start your journey to fit, happiness, and more confidence I would love to be your coach and help you through your journey also.   I will be starting an virtual accountability group in two weeks.  It will consist of nutrition information, workouts, and support.   If you want more information please DM me and I'll be happy to give you more information.   Let's get those summer bodies, confidence booming, and get fit in the process.

What's up with race?

I'm watching  ballet documentary... I love documentaries and I love ballet.  Well it's about blacks people of color, and how they don't get the "white people roles"   because who would want to watch a black white swan?  Isn't that what costumes are for?  I don't see what the big deal is if the person has the talent and the stage presence cast the "colored" girl/guy because I'd rather watch someone who has great stage presence and technique then someone who just had the technique.   I do have to admit that in the documentary I'm watching they have had a female of "color"  dance the main character in two different ballets.  So I'm glad progress is being made, but I think little girls no matte what color should be able to dream of being the priema (SP)  ballerina.

I don't understand the "black lives matter" that is going on in some parts of the country.  I think all lives matter, not just blacks, but white, Latino, Orientals, everyone lives matter.  Everyone plays an important part in someones life.

I don't understand how some people can look down at someone of a different race and think they are the scum of the earth because of their skin color. No one is perfect and just because someone of that skin color did something negative to you, does not mean everyone of their race is bad and negative  people.

Get to know someone and remember "It's hard to hate someone whose story you know."

About a friend

She senses there is a problem, but does not fully know what it is, or even admit it.  All she cares about is numbing out weather it be by drinking, pills, or weed. She just wants to run away and numb out.
Her cousin recently died from complications to a suicide attempt, although everyone has been told it was a car accident.  One of her best friends mother just passed away. Yet with how sad these things are, she wishes these things happened to her.  Wishes she was the one that died. wishes she was the one in a medical induced coma.  Wishes she could be numb (a drugged numb)
She's starting to abuse her medication, taking more anxiety meds, more sleeping meds and more benadryl.
I don't think she truly wants help right now, but how can I help her before she gets hooked on alcohol, hooked on benadryl, hooked on weed, and hooked on anything else that will numb her out?
She doesn't understand why her aunt and cousins are so worried about her. Yes she's depressed, yes she wants to numb out, but she's not suicidal.
I don't know how to help, so if you can help please let me know.
<3 thank you.

Happy Feb 1st

I've fallen behind. I was doing a book where you read a positive thought, and what it means, then it gives you a goal for the day.  It's called Staying Strong 365 Days a Year by Demi Lovato.  It's rather good.  When I do it, it helps me think more positively.

I'm thinking about writing again... like a book/movie script. I want to know if you would read it and help critique me and the story.

My brother introduced me to FiiZ DRiNKS it's so good. I like the Purple Nurple, and the Warheads.  I think the Warhead drinks would mix well with Vodka.  perfect way to get wasted hahaha.

smooth sailing never made a skillful sailor

"smooth sailing never made a skillful sailor"

To me it means that if we were to not have hard ships we wouldn't gain the skills and knowledge to be successful.  We wouldn't be able to be thankful for the "smooth sailing" times in our life, since we need opposition in our lives.  Without opposition we wouldn't know what happy really is.  We will have times when life is more relaxed and calm and other times when life is more chaotic and stressful.

So I asked some people what this quote meant to them.  here are some of the responses I received.

"To me it means we have to go through hard things to learn how to be better at them. If we didn't ever struggle with anything, we wouldn't learn. Such is life. Going through hard trials makes me a better person. I can relate better to someone after going through something they struggled with too, therefore making me more empathetic and less judgmental." -Kristin

"Unless you go through struggles, you will never know or understand what we are meant to know and understand." - Mary

" Knowledge is acquired, skills developed, talents grown by experiencing difficulties, challenges in life. If you didn't struggle, you wouldn't understand. When Lorraine hatched ducks and geese we learned this lesson. When the first egg started to hatch, kids crowded into her tiny bedroom to watch. It was taking a long time, so a few children helped the young bird by breaking away the shell. Once emerged, the bird was weak and soon died. Struggling to get out of the shell made the bird stronger so he could live. Without the struggle, the bird was weak and died." - Sylvia

Welcome Back Depression… You were not missed

I’m feeling depressed again. Like nothing is going to fill this void. I was feeling good emotionally but now I just want to get really sick with the flu for a good week and just stay in bed and stop “living”. I don’t understand this illness, Depression sucks. I hope I get the flu really soon. Like I hope I go to bed and wake up with the flu.

Change Is Good

Why is change good?
How has change been good for me?
Change has taught me that it's something I struggle with, when it's change with mental health.  But change in other areas of my life is easier to cope with.
Change gives me the chance to learn more about me and what I can handle and what I need help with.

Thanks! S. Lyric
@KatiMorton #JournalTopic Just saw a great quote that got me thinking:
'recovery is scary, but so is remaining exactly the same'.
I like this because I often think we fear change, but it can help to remember that we are unhappy with the way things are now! So maybe change can be good. Obviously we have to consider what is good for us, but not doing something because of fear of what may go wrong is not a good enough reason to stay where we are. So I challenge you, take stock of what's going on and what changes you can make to possibly make things better for you. Go get it!

The darkness of the void

It's 11:40 PM and I'm feeling empty inside.  I'm not sure how to describe it, but I'm going to try. It's like there is something missing from my life.  Like there is a hole in my heart.  It's dark.
I feel it during the day sometimes, but its so much easier to avoid feeling this emptiness during the day because I can distract by: playing with my dog, doing chores, hang out with friends (which I did more when I had friends that could more easily hang out).
At night I could go to the gym, unless I've taken my meds already.  I could try meditation (which someone on my Facebook page suggested) which I'm now looking into it. I could try reading but reading has been difficult lately because of my concentration is very poor and it's not helping like it use to, but maybe my concentration has come back to where I can understand and follow the story. I could color or draw, but that doesn't take much concentration and I still feel empty inside when I've tried that.
If anyone has any ideas of what I can do to help fill this void/emptiness, or ways to distract from this feeling please let me know.

Please share your input on how I can improve this blog. THANK YOU

I would like to make this blog more interesting yet use it to vent and have it as a place where people can relate to what I go though so that people like me do feel so alone.

I want to post my struggles, my feelings, about what I read that pertains to mental health and how I relate, and about my daily life.

I would love to have input and comments to read and if the comments are how to improve this blog I'd be more than happy to hear how I can improve.

If you have any suggestions on what I can do please leave a comment and share.

I watch Kati Morton videos and she does journal topics and I'm thinking of using this for some of the journal topic and maybe if my readers want to do journal topics with me we could help encourage each other to do them.  I'd share Kati Morton's videos of the journal topics  and type it out so if you just wanted to watch the video then do the journal topic that you can or if you just wanted to read and not watch the video you can.  or you could watch and read the journal topic.
If you don't know who Kati Morton is I'll share some of her pages with you.
